Dog Park Etiquette
To keep the parks safe and enjoyable for everyone:
- Pick up after your dog — always bring bags
- Keep your dog in the correct size area — small dogs can be injured by larger dogs during rough play
- Watch your dog at all times — don't sit on your phone
- Leave if your dog is bullying or being bullied — not every dog does well at parks
- Bring water — especially in Arizona, don't rely solely on park fountains
- Make sure vaccinations are current — dog parks are shared spaces
- Remove prong, choke, or spike collars before entering — they can injure other dogs during play
After the Park
A trip to the dog park usually means a dirty, happy dog. Dust, drool, and desert dirt are guaranteed. Keep your pup clean and comfortable with regular grooming between park visits.
